At our MATTA Fair September 2026 press conference, Malaysia Aviation Group unveiled the next chapter of our network growth, led by Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar, President and Group Chief Executive Officer of MAG, alongside Bryan Foong, Chief Executive Officer of Airlines Business, and Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Airlines Business.
At the forefront are three new destinations joining our growing network:
🇰🇷 Busan, South Korea — Malaysia Airlines, 4x weekly flights starting from 2 December 2026
🇨🇳 Kunming, China — Firefly, coming soon
🌏 A new destination in South Asia — Malaysia Airlines, to be revealed soon
Beyond our scheduled network, we’re also expanding our charter business across Malaysia Airlines and Firefly, with 13 new charter routes including Sendai, Sapporo and Urumqi, further extending our reach into markets where travel demand is growing.
Together, these additions bring more of Asia within reach while strengthening Kuala Lumpur’s position as a key gateway to Asia and beyond.
