The State Water Project makes water work for Californians by extending a lifeline to communities that otherwise wouldn’t have a reliable water supply to meet their needs. Antelope Valley is an example of a desert region that has had to adapt and innovate so that groundwater isn’t the only water supply source for the over 350,000 residents.
Besides the boost from the State Water Project, the Antelope Valley-East Kern Water Agency invests in innovative water banking facilities which now hold an incredible four years’ worth of annual water demand and can serve 210,000 homes for an entire year. Learn more by checking out the video!
