Celebrating four years of building indie comics in public.
We are live for Episode 208 of the Turbo Podcast, marking our exact 4th year anniversary of streaming our creative process every Sunday morning. We are in the final production stages of our first comic book, DOOM MAGS End of the World Anthology #1, and celebrating a major production milestone today.
On the drawing board today:
Zine Production and Design: Jake is focusing on designing the title zine pages for all the short comics featured in the anthology.
Milestone Achieved: Kurt has officially COMPLETED the inking for the final 10 pages of the Turbo Pit-fighter Issue #1 story.
Paint Marker Techniques: While waiting for the scanned pencils for Issue #2 from Jake, Kurt is starting work on a new Turbo Pin-up and flexing his skills on how to draw and render using paint markers.
Join Jake Jacobs and Kurt Brugel as they look back at four years of documentation, finish the final details of DOOM MAGS #1, and jump straight into new artwork.
About the Project:
Originally conceived in 1999, Turbo Pit-fighter is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi survival story. We meet live to prove that persistence beats perfection by taking our projects from raw script to finished print.
