In Episode 199, we are pushing toward the finish line of our first comic book: DOOM MAGS End of the World Anthology #1. This project, spanning from its 1999 origins to today, is finally reaching its print-ready form. We are documenting every step of the production process live.
On the drawing board today:
Lettering and Design: Jake is finishing the lettering for the next 6 pages of the Turbo story and designing the title zine pages for each short comic in the anthology.
Final Inks: Kurt is back on the boards to ink the final 10 pages of the Turbo Pit-fighter Issue #1 story.
Watch the real-time collaboration between writer/penciler Jake Jacobs and inker/letterer Kurt Brugel as they balance the grit of underground indie comics with the technical demands of print production.
