I have ALWAYS wanted to wear the Red Dress from Baz Luhrman's Moulin Rouge, so I was completely delighted to make this for myself. In this video, I discuss webpages and information out there about the dress, study the dress in detail, and then draft and sew the bodice. In it, I teach drafting on a dress form techniques, flat-lining, how to use grommets, how to add boning, make and use piping, and the joys of using coutil. By the end of the video, I have a well fitted and finished bodice.
