We're making a huge real Ghostbusters firehouse playset. This is update #14 on building the Giant Ghostbusters HQ firehouse playset. We have finally started the details on the outside of the fire station façade exterior. This Ghostbusters display/playhouse has interior with furniture inspired from the 80's toys, movies and cartoons. The decorative metal window feature was based off the real Ladder 8 firehouse in NY. The signage was inspired by the vintage toy Kenner real ghostbusters firhouse headquarters playset and the PLAYMOBIL Ghostbusters firehouse toy.
This update video focused on adding details to the Ghostbusters headquarters playhouse/firehouse façade. This Spook Central Ghostbusters headquarters draws inspiration for the design from the Ghostbusters filming locations. The exterior of the Firehouse building in New York, Hook & Ladder Company 8 and the interior of the Fire Station No. 23 in Los Angeles. We also got a few ideas from the Ghostbusters firehouse Playmobil set, Kenner, and the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters. Other inspirations for ideas came from the Ghostbusters video game and The Real Ghostbusters animated TV series cartoon. We incorporated slides, ghost climbing wall, fireman's pole, and some other items from the Ghostbusters movies like electrical shut off switches, wooden lockers, slimer, the stay puft marshmallow man, and the Ecto Containment Unit. Time to put on some Ray Parker Jr. Ghostbusters music and get to work.
