Sooner or later, you may need to make a long cut along the grain of the wood that is wider on one end than the other. This is called a taper and is mostly seen on table legs. But it’s one of the few cuts that you can’t make using just the miter gauge or rip fence that came with your saw. You will need a jig.
In this video, I want to share with you my ultra simple, basic taper jig that you can make with some scrap plywood. You will need a couple of toggle clamps. Here's the ones I use: amzn.to/2PSWXgI
