Knits, they're just not my area! But I became rather set on having a patent leather skirt, and the most economical and easy method of making one was certainly giving these strange laminated 4 way stretch spandex fabrics a try. Now I've got one in dark red, and spectrum holographic, and matte metallic navy, and faux croc leather...oops. I love a quick turn around project, and these are so quick I ended up making several in just a few hours!
Also since many folks have been asking, I'm just wearing the Target version SPANX brand thigh smoother shorts things under these, or control top tights. These skirts look best with things that don't have a center front/center back seam though, so I have since invested in some new super seamless slip shorts myself just for this purpose 😂
