Exciting music has to be made with lots of movement and irregularity "imperfections" or it becomes bland. This takes effort and understanding. Not to mention courage. I look at ideas around reverb and particularly how I make sure that the reverb space is not boring: too perfect, pristine, even etc. No one wants bland (except other wannabe musicians it seems).
