When Indonesia first officially announced cases of COVID-19 within the country, back in March, there was almost an immediate shortage of both masks and protective gear.

We started seeing a lot of photos of healthcare workers using only raincoats instead of proper PPE, while masks were just really hard to get. Coconuts Bali Editor Sheany shares some initiatives taken by local brands to help produce some of these crucial items in a time of great need.
