Here I am making basic modifications to my Canvair CP15HW1 Portable Reverse Cycle air conditioner. These modifications can be done to almost all portable air conditioners including Dimplex. By actually letting the condenser cool down the unit using outside air, not room air, we save energy and actually cool the room down! (wow big shock).
I also added thermal and sound deadening to the inside of the case to reduce fan noise, because this air conditioner is honestly designed to be inefficient, the condenser (hot side) blower fan has to run at 100% duty cycle, makes it very loud!
In another video later (if I can work it out), I'll change the speed of the fan, I didn't check if it has any LV control (doubt it).....
