An introduction to making pastels with Alex Warren, owner of Sinopia Pigments & Materials. Through a demonstration, Alex Warren will share how pastels are made from scratch and give an introduction to types of glues, pigments, and chalks that can be used.

Alex Warren grew up in Germany, went to high school in Nashville, TN, and received a BFA at SFAI in 1990. Alex founded Sinopia in 1995 in San Francisco, specializing in pigments and traditional artist's materials.
