RECIPE:
XMAS COOKIES from the kitchen of Harriett

2 cups granulated sugar
1/4 cup lt. brown sugar
1 cup of butter or margarine
2 eggs
2 Tbs milk
2 tsp vanilla
4 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder

Combine ingredients gradually in a bowl. Add sugars, butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla then cream. Then gradually add in flour, salt, and baking powder, mix thoroughly. Chill dough overnight or for a few hours. Flour surface and rolling pin then roll dough to desired thickness. Bake cookies at 350 for 10-15 minutes until edges turn golden. Let cool.
