In this video, our Spirit of ‘26 Nova takes a huge step toward becoming a true modern muscle car. That’s because we’re ditching the 50-year-old suspension and braking components in favor of 21st century technology. We start by replacing every worn-out chassis bushing with durable polyurethane bushings before upgrading the suspension with a Detroit Speed Front Speed Kit and matching rear leaf springs. We then prep the brakes for a new Baer Claw disc-brake conversion and add a Hydraboost system to ensure our performance cammed engine delivers ample vacuum.
