Sorry for the Rant, I think it's good to keep in mind even events in the best of circumstances are not always guaranteed to be profitable. Nor are we owed a profit.
Otakon is a fun and well organized event for those who attend, but with the current economic issues and geographical location of other major events, this offers some unique challenges for artists.
