Beardy David | Making My (Famous?) Yorkshire Puddings | Vlogmas 2020 December 17th | Beardy David @BeardyDavid | Uploaded December 2020 | Updated October 2024, 7 hours ago.
Merry Christmas my friends and welcome to Vlogmas 2020! Thank you for taking the time out of your busy festive life's to come and take a look at my Christmassy adventures!
December 17th
Want to make some yorkshire puddings over the festive season? Then you've come to the right place!
They're super simple to make and below are the ingredients and the oven time you'll need (other than mine! 😆).
140g plain flour
4 eggs
200ml milk (I use semi-skinned)
Sunflower/vegetable oil
Thyme (optional)
Step by step guide -
STEP 1
Heat oven to 230C/fan 210C/gas 8.
STEP 2
Drizzle a little sunflower/vegetable oil evenly into the tins and place in the oven to heat through.
STEP 3
To make the batter, put 140g plain flour into a bowl and beat in 4 eggs until smooth.
STEP 4
Gradually add 200ml milk and carry on beating until the mix is completely lump-free. Season with a pinch of salt.
If you have the time, then leave batter in fridge for an hour or if you're able to, overnight but this is not essential. I've used the batter straight after combining and still got awesome yorkies from it!
STEP 5
Pour the batter into a jug, then remove the hot tins from the oven. Carefully and evenly pour the batter into the holes.
STEP 6
Place the tins back in the oven and leave for 15-20 mins until the yorkies are (hopefully) massive and have browned.
Good luck if you give them a try and be sure to let me know how you get on!
