I love photo manipulation!
It's one of the most fun things ever. Bringing fantasy into reality is so satisfying, wonderful escapism.
The last time we worked on a photo series was for 'People Pieces' (2016) and 'We Are Not Elephants' (2015). It's about time I put a change to that and worked on some new collections.

If you have yet to try street photography, it's one of the most powerful learning practices for cinematography. Get out there, tell stories through your framing, then if you can take it a step further by adding fantastical elements to it. I can't get enough. This process helps you build visual metaphors for feeling which will overall help your writing and directing for feature film.

Sea Side was my end of term project at my 6th form college, which explores the audiences understanding of suicide. The film itself is built around the emotions of suicidal people that I spent over six weeks personally talking to, understanding what they felt and the stages that they went through in their head before they had the idea to commit, in turn getting the audience to experience these same emotions in order.
Suicide is a difficult topic for people to understand if they haven’t personally experienced it through people they know or through their own past.
Yes, this is the reason why I havent been uploading many videos recently :P I have been working on multiple short films that I am hoping to get screened at Film Festivals (you are not allowed to upload the shorts for public screening until their festival run has ended) :D
Anyway, I hope that you like the look of the film as it can be uploaded online on the 23rd June 2015 or you can come along to one of the potential festivals it screens at, keep up to date if there is one near you with my Twitter or Facebook accounts :)
