Cats Costumery | Making an Edwardian Mourning Dress | inspired by a dress at the MET @CatsCostumery | Uploaded October 2020 | Updated October 2024, 57 minutes ago.
Hello everyone and welcome to a new video!
Today's video is sponsored by... ME! Please consider supporting me on Patreon: patreon.com/catscostumery :)
I've been swooning after this dress for a while now and had the impulse to make it this month! As I mentioned in the video, I didn't have the quality of materials I wanted to really pull this off, and I learned a lot about the shape of these patterns, so I'm considering this a 'wearable mock-up' and I will try again whenever I am able to find an appropriate (AND AFFORDABLE) silk. There is footage of the final dress at the end of the video!
