Historical Belle | Making an 18th Century Men's Coat Inspired by Outlander @HistoricalBelle | Uploaded July 2024 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
In this historical costume sewing tutorial I will show you how I made an men's 18th century style coat inspired by outlander. I am using McCall's Costume Pattern M7762 which was licensed from the Outlander Series.
I am trying to recreate the coat that Roger wears to his wedding with Brianna Fraser in the Season 5 opener of Outlander because I am organizing a ball on behalf of Atlanta Historic Dance who partnered with the Northeast Georgia History Center to put on the Fraser's Ridge Wedding Ball.
Part of the ball was going to be a reenactment of Brianna Fraser and Rodger Wakefield saying their vows and it was decided that my husband and I would play Brianna and Rodger. So of course, we needed proper outfits.
It was my 1st time organizing a ball, and I feel like I learned a lot. More videos coming soon...
