Sometimes you need to make a stand for what you believe, and I believe I want to use the anvil I bought, so I needed to make a stand to mount it to. I went for the traditional oak log and some heavy duty angle iron for holding it down. The anvil is a 296lbs Hay Budden; combined weight of the anvil and stand are over 400lbs (that's as high as my scale goes), but I can still "walk" it around the shop. I'm looking forward to doing some forging.
