We are back on the 59 REO Gold Comet Car Hauler project again. The existing windshield is in a terrible state and finding replacement glass for this rare truck is near impossible.
My solution to the problem is to make a split windshield by fabricating and welding in a center section. This will allow us to use two flat planes of glass.
I make templates that will be used to cut new panes from safety glass, which will then be installed with polyurethane sealant. No traditional window rubber will be required. We will do the installation once the cab has been painted.
