Andy Rawls - In this video I'm attempting to build a spear thrower or otherwise known as an atlalt. This is an ancient weapon which I think pre dates the bow and arrow. I used red oak for the spear/dart and walnut for the thrower. This project took about 3 hours to build and if I did it again I would add turkey feathers to the spear and a metal point.
