In this video I discuss how I've set up the "template" for our Mechanical and/or Plumbing Revit projects in IG Oakland. It's still a work in progress but this represents the main approaches/philosophy with our template.
Main Points:
-It's not a template (not a .rte). It's a fully workshared project (.rvt). (why? can't workshare .rte's)
-It has existing links (to the dummy adesk arch and struct models).
-It has existing levels (I explain how to copy/monitor them).
-It has no grids.
-It has sheets already made (I explain how to reload from an architect's TB).
-Object Styles are all set up
-Lineweights are good to go
-View templates are set up (with settings for the links!! And that's why we want the dummy links.)
