If you add up all state park land in Texas, it comes out to about the same acreage as Travis County and most of that land is in the Western part of the state. In 2023, Texas voters created a $1 billion Centennial Parks Conservation Fund to purchase and develop new park land. It bears the question, what goes into making a brand-new state park? Hear from the team leading the charge to create new parks in Texas and get a sneak peek at the newest land to be developed by Centennial dollars.
