Here, I make a marquee-style menu board for the snack bar at a drive-in movie theater. The client wanted to be able to switch out the menu as it changed, so they'll have it printed locally on magnetic sheet that can be affixed to the steel face.

The rocket ship is the theater's logo, which I was able to incorporate as a backlit feature. For the parts of the logo that are normally negative space, I blocked out the light with spray paint. I used black underneath the white because I wasn't sure how effectively the white would block the light.

Also, I'm sure there was a reason I added the light-blocking paint before the yellow dye, but now I can't remember what it was. I'd probably do it the other way around if I had to do it over.
