The strop measures 3 inches wide and 6 inches long with a 4 inch turned handle. It's made out of solid cherry and the leather is 8 ounce veg-tanned cowhide. I used liquid hide glue for gluing the leather to the strop. For the finish I applied a coat of boiled linseed oil followed by a couple coats of a de-waxed garnet shellac applied with a hake brush.
