Hello everyone and welcome to a new video!

A couple of years back, I made an Edwardian walking skirt that I absolutely loved. In an effort to wear more of what I make, I tried wearing it to work once. However, the skirt was drafted in to fit over an Edwardian corset (and even then it was a little tight!). It was very impractical so I looked into making new skirts.

I was super inspired by Bernadette Banner's video of her walking skirt (youtu.be/za40PYeJU6c). Back in May 2019, I bought some wool on an online sale that would be perfect. For the pattern, I used the Keystone Jacket and Dress Cutter, dated 1895 (archive.org/details/keystonejacketdr00heck/page/n6). The drafting took me a little while as the instructions are not very thorough but after a guess-work, they worked into a great pattern.

I have worn this skirt a few times now and I am happy with how warm and comfortable it is! I have plans to make more wardrobe pieces, so stay tuned :)
