I make unusual rings so when Nick sent me a message asking if I could make a white gold band in memory of his beloved horse, Tarzan … I was up for the challenge.
Seeing as Tarzan was such a majestic steed I didn’t want to let him down so I got to work fabricating the gold core from sheet and wire.
The finished ring had two inlay channels containing a braid of horse hair and ashes. I feel very honoured to be asked to make such a meaningful piece of jewellery! I hope it brings back memories of sunny days trotting through the country and a bond that will never be forgotten.
