Artisan Makes | Making a Fly Cutter From 4140 Chromoly @artisanmakes | Uploaded 1 year ago | Updated 2 hours ago
G'day everyone,

In this video I will be making an improved fly cutter from some 4140 steel. Fly cutters are a good tool to use to face large pieces of metal and leave it with a good surface finish and it is one of my most used tools.

The replacement will be made form 4140 steel which is higher tensile strength and more resistant to corrosion. I will also make a new tool holder to hold some CCGT inserts that I bought.
