Seven days. One of the most iconic wildlife ecosystems on earth. Follow Canon Co-Lab Ambassador Sam Newton behind the scenes of a filmmaking journey through Kenya’s Masai Mara. While staying at Ishara, a luxury tented camp and Canon partner, Sam set out to create a film about photographer Amara and how wildlife photography deepened her connection to the land.

Filmed with the Canon EOS C50, this project captures sweeping landscapes, incredible wildlife, and the fast-paced reality of filming in one of the world’s most iconic ecosystems. Sam also breaks down the gear used throughout the shoot, including the RF100-300mm F2.8 L IS USM and Canon RF prime lenses, while Amara photographs wildlife with the EOS R3 and RF400mm F2.8 L IS USM.
