For the Holidays, I decided to make something the family can enjoy when we all get together. Traditionally, split chess boards are hinged, but I wanted to do something a little different with mine so I used magnets to join the two halves of my chess board. This was a fun project and a good way to use up some nicer wood scraps. Chess boards or any game boards are a great project that everyone can enjoy, when they're finished.
