At different times in our lives, we’ve all had people who taught us lessons. Some of those lessons turn out to be more valuable than others. This is a story about one of those small lessons….
I was fortunate to come under the tutelage of a man who took special interest in me at the age of 14. He hired me to work in his yard. Over the next four years, he taught me hundreds of lessons. Taken in total those lessons changed my life and sent me on a path of independence and mutual respect that have guided me for the rest of my life.
Here is a story of how he taught me, that small lesson.
