In collaboration with Oishei Children's Hospital and the Patricia Allen Fund, Josh Allen will wear nine unique 9FORTY® Billustration Team Caps that have been specially customized by OCH patients to each Bills home game. For week three against the Miami Dolphins, Josh will wear MaKenzie’s cap.
MaKenzie was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia after a routine newborn screening, but she hasn’t allowed the severe blood disorder to define her future. Inspired by the level of care she receives from the hematology doctors at OCH, MaKenzie wants to be a nurse when she gets older – specifically for cardiac care. MaKenzie is especially excited for Josh to wear her cap during the month of September, which is Sickle Cell Awareness Month. Her artistic ability is on full display with her design, featuring colorful flowers and a Sickle Cell Awareness ribbon.
