@jenni_papercraft created the subtle texture in the background using Picket Fence Distress Paint as a resist. Once the paint is completely dry, the Distress Spray Stains glide over it, allowing those soft wave patterns to peek through just enough to add depth without overpowering the design. 🌊
Supplies:
Ranger:
-Make-It Stamp: Beach Vibes
-Make-It Acrylic Stamping Block
-Archival Ink Pad: Dark Roast, Pebble Beach
-Heat It Craft Tool
-Handle It Tool
Tim Holtz Distress:
-Watercolor Cardstock – Cut to 7 3/8” x 5 1/2”
-White Heavystock
-Paint: Picket Fence
-Spray Stain: Speckled Egg, Antique Linen
-Spritz: Weathered Wood, Antique Linen
-Watercolor Pencils
-Sprayer

Instructions:
-Roll a thin, even layer of Picket Fence Paint onto the wave stamp. Stamp randomly across Watercolor Cardstock to create a subtle pattern. Repeat as needed. Let dry completely.
-Lightly spritz Speckled Egg Spray Stain across the center of the cardstock. Mist with water to soften + blend the color, then dry using a Heat Tool.
-Spritz Antique Linen Spray Stain along the top + bottom edges of the cardstock.
-Lightly mist with water to blend, then dry with heat tool.
-Flick droplets of Weathered Wood + Antique Linen Spritz over the fully dried background
-Cut the background into two pieces: 5½" x 4¼" (base layer) & 5½" x 4⅛" (top panel)
-On the smaller panel, stamp “High Tides and Good Vibes” using Dark Roast Archival Ink.
-Optionally, add embossing powder + heat set.
-Stamp the chair, surfboard, starfish + sand dollar onto White Heavystock using Dark Roast Archival Ink. Lightly color the images with Watercolor Pencils, then cut them out.
-Stamp the beach sign using Pebble Beach Ink + cut it out.
-Wrap + tie a piece of twine around the top portion of the smaller panel, securing with a bow.
-Adhere the stamped + colored images to the smaller panel using foam adhesive.
-Attach the smaller panel to the larger panel using foam tape.
-Adhere the completed card front to an A2 card base using strong adhesive.
