If you want that true smart home, your Smart Home Platform needs more context. Motion sensors, and and presence sensors can only get you so far.
If you want your home to be really smart then it needs to know what is going on in your Life, not just what is going on in the house.
And one way to do that is make your Smart Home aware of your Calendar.
With Home Assistant the best solution I have found is the Google Calendar Integration, and in this video I am going to show you how to set it up so you can get to Automation the Boring Stuff
