This tutorial shows you how to quickly and easily make diorama water effects. You can make streams, ponds, babbling brooks and waterfalls very quickly using the Elmer's Clear Gel glues. And it is very inexpensive (Amazon link below)
In this video I build a diorama called “Ponce de Leon and the Fountain of Youth”. I show you how to build a complete diorama with a variety of materials.
If you want to just watch the techniques for making water you can skip to the 7 minute mark in the video.
Interesting thing about the water and the theme of this diorama is the waterfall itself. The Fountain of Youth is fabled to reverse the aging process, in a way it reverses time. So I thought it might be fun to symbolically have the fountain itself be reversed. So the fountain actually flows upside-down. It kind of reminds you of a Escher drawing.
