Start the new year by empowering your students to engage with civics!

The National Civics Bee is an initiative by the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The Bill of Rights Institute is the official content partner.

The National Civics Bee invites 6th–8th grade students to write an essay proposing a solution to a local challenge—connecting their ideas to our Founding principles and civic virtues.

Deadline: February 3, 2026
Prizes: Up to $100,000 for the National Champion + $5,000 for their school
Free to Enter: Every student gains valuable skills in writing, problem-solving, and civic engagement.
