We will be making a fully functional router plane live. this way you can build also you will need several parts. here is what I will be using for this build.
Router Plane Iron: rockler.com/spare-blade-for-bench-dog-router-plane?country=US&sid=V91040&promo=shopping&gclid=Cj0KCQjw18WKBhCUARIsAFiW7Jy67YvuHjB-dC6riQbBHWpgAv0xbCbI0ekkNMcEPZrwFUemGgdraJQaAkltEALw_wcB
3/4" Ubolt: mcmaster.com/3201T28
3 thumb nuts: mcmaster.com/95150A170
1/4 20 threaded rod 3": amzn.to/3uowW9m
5-minute epoxy: amzn.to/39IJzm8
scrap wood for the body: I will be making mine out of maple 1" X 3.5" X 24"

00:00:00 James Wright: What are we going to do today?
00:11:00 Susan Morrison: aren't you going to shoot the side with your new shooting board?
00:21:00 Laura M: How long will a tube of 5 min epoxy last after opening?
00:26:00 Peter Wall: Why glue on a piece instead of using a thicker block of wood which one is stronger?
00:40:00 Sawraj Sharma: Is James eyeballing the center to cut the groove? Is there a way to make sure the groove is centered?
00:42:00 Douglas Jorgensen: Are you going to have enough backing for your adjusting screw?
00:43:00 Lynx G: Not on topic for this build, but on-topic for tools...Do you find that there's any big difference for the Bridge City Tools over say Veritas, Lie Neilson, or Wood River for about double the price?
00:48:00 Nipun Lokuwithanage: Not related but why is so hard to find bevel up low-angle wooden planes? I'm assuming it's due to the thin area between the bed and sole? I'm making one right now with a steel inlay. Would that work?
00:53:00 Lynx G: Talking about the blade for these, which do you prefer, this type you're using (solid) or the ones that have the carbide, removable/changeable tips?
00:57:00 Peter Wall: Is that a 3/8 cutter; why did you choose that size?
00:58:00 Lynx G: Curious if you're going to file notches into the u-clamp to let it better fit/hold the blade?
00:59:00 Simon's Channel: Was that a rasp he was using? What kind is it, please?
01:09:00 Dennis Meko: Does James have the special taps and dies for Stanley Bailey hand planes?
01:10:00 Devin Teske: How hard are you pushing down?
01:14:00 FrankPace54: Why not use a standard tap handle?
01:16:00Thomas Russell: Do you ever soak wood threads with CA glue and re-tap?
01:23:00 Ed Estes: Did Rockler have Router Planes in stock before this live stream started? (they are currently "TEMPORARILY OVERSOLD")
01:26:00 Dennis Meko: Please explain the difference between the auger bits with wide flat faces and bits with skinny faces.
01:38:00 Devin Teske: Can we use a spokeshave for this?
01:43:00 Mary McIlvean: Is there a way to build in a depth stop?
01:47:00 Laura M: Would putting a knob on the left end make for better leverage or control?
01:56:00 James Letner: could you use a skewed iron for slicing into the tendon?
02:05:00 Nipun Lokuwithanage: When ripping a piece ive heard sawing uphill leaves a better finish. Any truth to this?
02:06:00 Susan Morrison: Did you sharpen the router Iron before this demo?
02:06:00 Lynx G: Would it be a good idea to put a piece in front of the blade to hold it in place while loosening the clamp mechanism so it doesn't fall forward and out?
