This is a tutorial on how to make a medieval weapon called a gun shield. It is a shield and it is a gun. It is both. And in this project the gun actually works. (It is rubber band powered and it shoots gumballs). You don't need a whole lot of supplies to make this. It takes two sheets of foamboard, a length of plastic pvc pipe, a length of dowel and a rubber band.
This is a fun little project that is very different from your normal medieval weapon. Being a shield and a gun it is both offensive and defensive at the same time.
I also show you a neat technique for painting it so it looks like metal.
