For those looking for a long range antenna in a bottom feed whip form, this is the Basefeed whip antenna I designed for Crossfire.

For 915MHZ:
Total length - 6"
Length of RG142: 3"

For 868MHz:
Total length: 6.3"
Length of RG142: 3.25"

Heatshrink for RG178 cable:
1/16 (3.25"), 1/8"(3.5"), 1/4"(3.5")

Heatshrink for RG316 cable:
