Ultimate Paper Mache | Make a Lantern Eyed "Fish Alien" Mask - With Paper Mache @UltimatePaperMache | Uploaded October 2021 | Updated October 2024, 13 minutes ago.
My alien mask is a little weird, but the 12-year old kid next door says it's pretty cool, too. ๐ฝ๐๐
This was a fun, easy project, and the lanternfish eyes on the mask would make it impossible to ignore, either on the street or at a party.
In the past I made a cicada mask: youtu.be/PYQibiUe__s
And a murder hornet mask: youtu.be/qW-zawMf-fo
Don't tell anyone, but I intended to make a mask of that deep-sea fish with a mouth full of needle-like teeth and a lighted thingy dangling on a pole in front of him. It would have been a very scary mask, but for an older crowd into all things weird, it would be a lot of fun. They're also called lanternfish occasionally, but their real name is anglerfish.
Then I saw photos of the lanternfish, with his huge lighted eyes, and I knew I had to make a mask like that, instead.

"Fairy Lights" - the LED lights I used in the mask (they came with six sets. I used two of them for this project, and two for the skulls in my last video): amzn.to/3FqY7Fn
WED clay (any modeling clay works, but this is the kind I happen to like best): amzn.to/3BmLF7n
