Major investment needed to tackle 2.5-year High Court backlog  @stvnews

The head of Scotland’s national courts service says it needs £60M of investment to cope with an increasing workload.
The average wait between a first appearance at a high court to the start of a criminal trial is expected to increase to two and half years by 2028.
The Scottish Government says it continues to work closely with the courts service on reform measures.
