Season 2 is almost here and Blizzard just dropped another MAJOR round of 12.1 buffs and nerfs!
This latest 12.1 class tuning hits everything from Blood and Frost Death Knight to Devourer Demon Hunter, Arcane Mage, Enhancement Shaman, Fury Warrior and several healers.
Some specs got straight buffs, others were brought down, while several are seeing power moved away from their Season 2 tier sets and back into their baseline kits. So with all of these 12.1 class changes arriving right before the new season begins, there's one big question:

Some of the biggest 12.1 changes:
Blood Death Knight: Blood gets nerfs to Visceral Strength and Transfusion after looking incredibly strong during testing. Its survivability remains untouched though, so Blood DK should still be in a good spot for Season 2.
Frost Death Knight: A massive 9% increase to all ability damage comes alongside nerfs to the Venomous Abyss tier set, shifting more power back into the spec itself.
Devourer Demon Hunter: 14% increased ability damage alongside targeted nerfs to Reap, Cull and Eradicate, plus a significant reduction to the four piece bonus.
Restoration Druid: One of the weaker healers during testing gets 4% increased healing and a huge 20% damage increase.
Arcane Mage: Arcane gets a 3% baseline damage buff while its two piece and four piece bonuses receive substantial nerfs.
Mistweaver Monk: An 8% increase to all healing plus improvements to the four piece bonus should help bring Mistweaver closer to the other healers.
Discipline Priest: Overall damage is reduced by 30%, while Entropic Rift gets buffed and Atonement's damage to healing conversion is substantially increased.
Holy Priest: Several sizeable Oracle buffs arrive alongside a major improvement to Enlightenment's mana regeneration.
Rogue: Assassination gets a 4% damage buff, while Subtlety receives 6% more baseline damage in exchange for a weaker four piece.
Enhancement Shaman: A clean 5% damage increase for a spec that was already feeling surprisingly good during our 12.1 PTR testing.
Demonology Warlock: The two piece tier bonus gets a substantial increase to its Implosion effectiveness.
Fury Warrior: Fury receives 6% more baseline damage while some power is removed from its four piece bonus.
This round of 12.1 buffs and nerfs is particularly interesting because not every nerf is necessarily a straight nerf. Blizzard is clearly trying to normalize the strength of the new tier sets while keeping specs competitive through baseline buffs.
That makes predicting the actual 12.1 meta a little more complicated.
Will 12.1 Frost DK climb? Is 12.1 Blood DK still one of the tanks to watch? Where will 12.1 Arcane Mage land? Can the 12.1 Enhancement Shaman buffs give the spec the push it needs?
We won't know the complete 12.1 DPS meta until players get into Midnight Season 2 and we have actual Mythic+, raid and gearing data, but these changes give us a much better idea of what Season 2 balance could look like.
