You've probably heard plenty of nasty things about Magpies in the Australian Spring. When they're not protecting their eggs and nests, they're actually pretty chill. These two aren't the least bit fazed by me being less than 2 metres away at my front gate.
The one on the right is a juvenile. It might be hard to tell in the video, but they have a more "grayish" plumage that is the give-away. Adult birds have very sharp patches of black and white.
