Hi all! I'm back and have the tutorial for the Magnetic Explosion Box that I shared a couple of days ago. If you missed the full walk through, you can see it here. youtu.be/dDmaVmCdzDQ

I've been working on this tutorial all day...literally. In between housework and roof repair guys I have finished this tutorial. But, there's more to come. On the Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations Facebook page, facebook.com/groups/1585111948390881 I posted a question, whether to use the Country Craft Creations papers "Chaps" or "Colors of Autumn" for the tutorial. I couldn't decide. The result...a TIE!!! This means that this tutorial is going to show you the base of the box, and how to put it together, then I will come back with the final decoration and the surprise of sharing which paper collection the coin toss in my craft room decided.

I did use Artisan cardstock, 12 x 14, Pearl Sheen Natural for the base. If you don't have the 14" paper, I will share how to make this box using 12 x 12. For the 14" paper, it took about 6 sheets. For the 12 x 12 paper, it will take 8-10. You will also need some seam binding, and 4 large Basic Grey magnets. I used 8 x 8 patterned paper for the prototype that I shared in the walk through. It took almost the whole collection. I am also using two colors (one sheet of 12 x 12 each) of the new Glamour Cardstock for mats (you will see that in the walk through and in the upcoming "reveal" video. Links to these products will be listed below the cut guide.

I also mention my tutorial on how to use the explosion scoreboard. We don’t need it for this project but it does have a ton of how to’s and tips and tricks for making explosion boxes. youtu.be/pGCKys5ln4s?si=Rdb8InncEkpx7rHo I also have many many tutorials on my channel for these boxes so please check them out.

Below is the cut guide for the cardstock. I am trying to make sure that it is accurate. I do talk about how to cut the triangles of patterned paper in the tutorial.
