I wanted to see if this would be the best magnesium supplement for sleep so I tested magnesium L-threonate for 30 days expecting better sleep, improved memory, and lower stress, I usually use magnesium glycinate and wondered if this threonate would be worth it.
Instead, my anxiety increased, my sleep scores dropped, and I woke up groggy almost every morning.
Magnesium L-threonate is marketed as the only form that crosses the blood-brain barrier — supposedly making it superior for sleep and brain function. At £40 a jar, I wanted to find out if it was worth it.
But my experience was very different.
In this video I break down:
• Magnesium L-threonate side effects I experienced
• Why it may feel stimulating instead of calming
• Magnesium L-threonate vs magnesium glycinate
• Whether it actually improves sleep
• Who it might NOT be good for
I also compare the cost difference between magnesium glycinate and L-threonate and explain why I switched back.
If you're considering taking magnesium L-threonate for sleep, anxiety, or cognitive performance — watch this first.
