KIDS THESE DAYS have it so easy! With universal XP share, Magikarp may as well not exist considering how easy it is to slap the Karp on the bench and "raise" it to level 20 for Gyarados Gaming. Back in MY day, we had to do it the hard way! The REALLY hard way...without even the held item XP share to focus XP into Magikarp, the only way to get Gyarados is to struggle your way to the top, or to switch train which is agony. It might actually be easier to try swimming up a waterfall myself...
This is a PSEUDO (600 bst) Magikarp solo, we'll be using other pokemon until we get the Mt. Moon Magikarp and to switch train up to Gyarados, but after evolution Gyarados will be our main fighter. The main point is to show NEWBIES (meaning gen 2 onwards...) just how awful training Magikarp was and why Gen 1 Gyarados is actually a pretty fair reward
Is Magikarp actually worth 500 pokebucks? Or is the salesman just fleecing innocent kids?! Let's! Splashing!
