I'm a comic book fan, but I haven't read much in the last 10 years, so for me Magik was just Colossus's younger sister who died from the Legacy Virus and had a few appearances in the New Mutants.
I was surprised when she won one of the popularity polls to be included in the game, and when looking for a base, I went with the most logical option that came to mind: a woman with a sword? Golden Axe.
Over time, I realized I was unfair and lazy with this character, after seeing all her popularity and representations in Marvel Rivals, Marvel Tokon, and even Fortnite.
A question for the biggest fans of the character: is her sword yellow or blue? When I search, I find references to both colors.
So the character was practically remade to a more teenage and less muscular base.
The gameplay remained almost the same, with the addition of an upward teleport with her anti-air attack and horizontal teleport discs for dodging, which is how she uses most teleports in the comics.
Additionally, a playable mode for Darkchylde, which was previously just a desperate move, now occurs 100% of the time she falls and is at her last health bar, featuring the same moves but with increased damage.
The character's voice is from Marvel Rivals.
