It's been a minute since my last solo. I really enjoyed editing this for Daiguren IC though! I mixed 3 animes around the same theme of diving into data/dream-like "virtual reality" and tried to find or create as many connections as possible while keeping the editing smooth and fun to watch.

Hello! This is my entry for Souls Team IC XIX which I entered with @LucioleAMV and @novax7469 . This year, I wasnt really feeling the dance category and no songs really inspired me to push for it. So I fled to this special Gladiator pit category, a bit niche probably, but the music was too good to let go.
Pretty obvious for Genshin players but I took inspiration from Raiden Shogun trailer video and character.
Title is a play of words between Yami (Darkness) and dō coming from words like bushidō or kendō, so its the way of darkness or Dark Road (yes its another reference to a Kingdom Hearts game). Its also answering the musics title Hikari meaning Light.

My video for the Daiguren Contest IC (4 days contest). I didnt plan to edit this at all but I had to when I heard the song in the music pack! The clash of styles fits mine and the singers are both Belgian after all so its probably the most Belgian video youll watch this year.
I tried to stay close to the lyrics while keeping the identity I put in my various. Some parts are a little meta, with reference to previous works and symbolism here and there, not that you need all that to appreciate the video: its still mostly about flow. Was far from being easy, but the more I worked on it, the clearer the vision got and at the end Im really happy with the result.
