In my Booktube absence, I totally missed the Magical Readathon back in April (I didn’t even know about it), but thanks to twitter, the upcoming Part 2 caught my attention! In order to participate in the NEWTs in August, I’ve decided to dedicate July to my OWLs. Here’s my TBR!

Basically, for the OWLs, you have to “sit” and “pass” at least 2 OWLs (i.e., complete two of the challenges) for an Acceptable pass (with 3 for Exceeds Expectations and 5 for Outstanding). You can then only attempt the NEWTs for the OWLs you pass.
The OWL challenges are as follows:
Ancient Runes: A book with a symbol on the cover
Arithmacy: A book with a number on the cover or in the title
Astronomy: Read a science fiction novel
Care of Magical Creatures: Read a book that involves magical creatures OR features a magical creature on the cover
Charms: Read a fantasy book
Defense Against the Dark Arts: Book about/featuring secret societies/clubs
Divination: Read a book featuring prophecies
Herbology: Read a book with a nature related word in the title
History of Magic: Read a historical fiction
Muggle Studies: Read a muggle non-fiction book
Potions: Read a book about/with alchemy
Transfiguration: Read a book that deals with transfiguration/shapeshifting or a similar theme OR a book with a cat on the cover
